OMG. I think my uterus just shuddered a little.

Actually, three is all over mah house, too, and three just wants you to know that it knows everything and god help you when it is thirteen.

Your children and mine? SO BARRED FROM EVER MARRYING AND BREEDING.

Which is too bad...I'd like to like my in-laws, you know? And they're all so cute (lucky for them)...

But we must think of the greater good.

No. Wait we must think of the Parental Curse.

Shall we begin negotiating betrothal terms now?

LOL ;)

P.S. I am watching this one more time and that's it!

Patience wants to know why...

Look at it this way. C never ever tantrummed when she was little. However, she more than made up for it in adolescence. Given the choice, I promise you would rather them at three! Breathe....just remember to breathe.

Oh, and please, please, please send me this vid. I have a friend (40 year old solicitor) who's having serious urges to have a child. This may just be the deterrent we've been looking for!

Oh, my. Oh, MY. It's been awhile. I think watching that video may have just given me PTSD.

My 2 1/2 year old just started screaming like this too. Ugh. The only thing that has worked for me so far is to hold her until she stops. We wrestle, I break a sweat.. I say "I'm not letting go until you stop."

Within 2 days her outbursts have been shorter. If she screams let me go I say I will when you stop... and when she stops for a second to take a breath I say 'Are you done now?"

She gulps back a scream and that's it. She says yes and I let her go.
My new threat? "Don't make me HOLD you!" ;)

Um. Can I stop my child from growing? Anyone? Anyone?

I'm with Julie. Can anyone help me keep my baby boy from being older than just about 9 months? Anyone? I tried to keep him younger, like when he let me cuddle him w/o him being sleepy or sick or just humoring me, but everytime I go to sleep and wake up he's older!

Boy, that's a GOOD one! And you have it on tape. Remember to show it to any future dates so they can see the rage they are up against! ha ha

Blogger Christine said...

sucks.

How the hell did you get into my house?

Jesus christ. Need to stock up on tequila if three looks like that, cause two is killing me.

I know that it's NOT funny when you're the one living with the tantrums, but it cracked me up!

I feel like having one of those tantrums occasionally, though at 52 it wouldn't at all funny for anyone to see me rolling around on the floor in my underwear.....

Blogger Amy said...

lady, stop scaring me! three is just around the corner, and I just got used to two!

No thank you. I'll take a Coke.

Blogger Nancy said...

Whew, I guess I was lucky ... I didn't experience that from either of mine.

Holy cow! what was he mad about?

Blogger Lady Liberal said...

Wow! That was impressive! When your boy does something, he does it right! Way to commit, Hollis! :)

Just think... there will come a day when he's 16 or so when you will long for something so simple as a case of the 3 y.o. screaming mimis. :)

I give him extra points for partial nudity and making full use of the space. He really does pay attention to the details of his craft... LOL

CPA Mom - His brother got the towel he wanted when they got out of the bath tub. I waited until we'd forced his pull up on to him before getting the camera!
