Taken with my camera phone.This title makes me think of Snakes on a Plane for some reason. It's not nearly that bad, but it's still pretty itchy.
When you're out of town for a funeral, the last thing you want to worry about is wearing heels when your foot is swollen like a football after fire ants have gotten you.
Ouch.
Thanks, everyone, for all of your comments, emails, tweets, and calls about my Nonnie. I'm here in Alexandria until Sunday. The funeral was yesterday. It was heart wrenching but it was wonderful to see extended family I haven't seen in years.
Now I'm distracting myself on Twitter....
So far, this has not been your year. Well except for that cool trip to Baton Rouge and our fabulous happy hour. ;)

ReplyDeleteholy crap - the only reason I'm not totally shocked is that I'm allergic to those suckers and I totally stood in a pile of them while I was walking Nate Nate once!! They got him too and with his little doggy weight - it nearly killed him. Fire ants can blow me - those things SUCK!!!

Well, I've always been a proponent of distracting myself from my emotional pain any way I can, but this is taking things a wee bit too far.

ouch. sucks dude. that's one of the worst things about Louisiana. I definitely do not miss those little buggers. Or the heat. Or the conservatives. Or the poison ivy. Or the mosquitoes. I could go on and on but I'll stop now.
